Pearl August
Director – Production Services

Pearl August brings to fbi twenty-one years experience in television broadcast and special events industries. As fbi's Director - Production Services, Pearl manages the company's contributions to the Volvo for life Awards program.

This assignment ranges from overseeing the nominations and judging processes, to managing communications and production development for the program's Web site and video documentaries. Pearl also serves as the liaison for the program's celebrity judges, including Caroline Kennedy, Senator Bill Bradley, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, Hank Aaron, Dr. Sally Ride, and Maya Lin. As a consultant in scripting, communications, and speech preparation, Pearl has served worldwide on major television and film productions, such as X-Men II and Life or Something Like It. Her portfolio in this area also covers high-level corporate conferences as well independent film and video.

Pearl's work in international television broadcasting specialized in broadcast news. She worked as a Morning News Director for Global Television in Canada, directing morning cut-ins to the national news broadcasts. She garnered extensive experience as Production Assistant on daily newscasts, including Canada's 5:O'Clock News, as well as teleprompting the Noon News Hour.

Throughout these tenures, Pearl has interfaced with many of the best-known public figures in politics, corporate life, and the arts. The leading CEO's and statesmen/women with whom Pearl has worked include US Secretary of State Colin Powell, Sonia Gandhi, a leader in the Indian Parliament and wife of the late Prime Minister of India, Rajiv Gandhi, and the former Premier of Vancouver and Member of Parliament, Ujjal Dosanjh.

Pearl applies this experience and network of resources not only to her current area of focus but also to a number of projects-in-development at fbi requiring film project support and script development for the company's national and overseas productions.
