Maria Perazzo
Art Director

Maria Perazzo conceptualizes, designs, and creates print materials, Web sites, animated graphics, and much more as the principal art director at fbi productions. She works closely with writers to ensure a seamless fit between content and visuals, and oversees the presentation of a variety of projects. Maria’s command of cutting-edge computer design tools is extensive, but her considerable artistic talent is based on a firm foundation in the fine arts, including oil-painting, drawing and photography.

Born in Buenos Aires, Maria is fluent in Spanish and conversant in Italian. She is also a world traveler with a passion for other cultures and has resided and traveled extensively throughout South America, including Cuba, Ecuador, and Patagonia. She spent her early years in Southern California – moving to Oregon for her education at Portland State University, where she received a BA in Graphic Design and minored in Business Management.

Prior to joining fbi, Maria contributed her skills in graphic design and business development to the Kallari Marketing Cooperative (Ecuador), helping advance the organization’s mission of empowering indigenous people of the Amazon to improve their standard of living by selling native products and crafts. In addition, she has several years of successful freelance experience as a graphic designer.

In her spare time, Maria has been a ski instructor at Lake Tahoe, danced on stage with James Brown, and served as the namesake for a beloved Argentinian heifer – “Maria P.” – which, in 2007, was awarded first prize at a national bovine competition by the Vice President of Argentina. She lives in Manhattan.
